The Activated Carbon Chemical filter for the AIRBOX Apex Series removes chemicals, VOCs, bio-effluents, and other odors so you have safe, clean air to breathe. The Chemical Filter represents the first stage of air filtration for the Apex Series.
The Activated Carbon Chemical Filter has an Ozone 3 rating with greater than 30% ozone removal efficiency so it will quickly absorb and remove unwanted chemicals, VOCs, and odors from the breathing zone.
The encapsulation media also prevents carbon particles from flowing further down the filtration system, thus prolonging the life of your air filters. We recommend changing the Odor Shield every six months for maximum efficacy of your Apex Series air purifier.
